About Certia and the group
What is Certia Group?
It is the group led by Certia that brings together Certia Asistencias, ScoreaFácil and the representation of Gail in Ecuador. Each has its own team, and all follow the same rules for traceability and data protection.
Does Certia only work with large institutions?
We work with banks, credit cooperatives, insurers, fintechs and other regulated operations of different sizes. The scope adapts to each institution's maturity, and you can start with a single process.
Where does Certia operate?
We are based in Quito and serve institutions across Ecuador. We work on site and remotely depending on what each project stage needs.
What is ScoreaFácil?
It is a Certia Group product for verifying the credit and identity of people and companies with a national ID or tax ID. It brings several sources into one report and has its own site at scoreafacil.com.
Is Gail a Certia company?
No. Gail is an international platform with its own owner. Certia represents it in Ecuador: it sells it, integrates it with each institution's systems and supports its operation.
Implementation
Do I have to replace my current systems?
We integrate with your core, your channels and your existing databases. We only suggest changing a platform when the assessment shows it is the best option, and that decision is yours.
Which teams usually take part?
Risk, operations, technology and compliance, and depending on the area also collections, customer service or security. We ask for one owner on the institution's side so decisions move quickly.
How long does the first stage take?
It depends on the area and the data available. During the assessment we define a focused scope and a timeline your team reviews before committing.
How is a project priced?
After the assessment we prepare a proposal with scope, deliverables and terms. We do not publish prices because every operation is different.
Security and data
Can operations be combined with cybersecurity?
Yes. Every flow we automate is also tested from an attacker's point of view, and the findings are fixed within the same work plan, by a single team that is accountable for both.
Does the artificial intelligence decide on its own?
Only where you define it. Rules, limits and the cases that go to a person are agreed with your committee, and every decision is logged with its data so it can be reviewed later.
How does Certia comply with Ecuador's data protection law?
We process data for a defined purpose, keep only what is needed and sign a processing agreement with each institution. We apply role-based access, encryption and audit logs, as detailed on our data protection page.
Where is the data stored?
It depends on the architecture agreed with each institution. We always document where data is processed, who can access it and how long it is kept.
